ABOUT The Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai supports the very heart of the family-centered care philosophy. From pediatric medicine to expert care in specialties such as cancer, neurologic disorders, bowel disease and diabetes, the Samuelson Children's Hospital delivers individualized care focused on the family and patient. The family works alongside the clinical team to ensure the best outcomes from their sick child.  16 sub-specialties are practiced by Baltimore's top doctors, nurses and clinical staff who care for our youngest and most fragile patients.

ABOUT The Baltimore Child Abuse Center (BCAC) provides victims of child sexual abuse, trauma, and other Adverse Childhood Experiences in Baltimore and their non-offending caretakers with comprehensive forensic interviews, medical treatment, and mental health treatment with a goal of preventing future trauma. BCAC is a non-profit subsidiary of LifeBridge Health.  BCAC opened its doors to children and families in crisis in 1987 in response to growing awareness that sexually abused children were not only suffering the lasting effects of abuse, but they were also being revictimized by the lengthy and often repetitive investigative process intended to help them.  BCAC stands as a leader in training which prevents future trauma. Over the last five years, staff has instituted a number of training initiatives which have enlightened 7,000 youth-serving professionals in schools, summer camps, law enforcement, and other child advocacy centers. This work protects tens of thousands of children under the care of these professionals from future abuse.

ABOUT Home to some of the world's most renowned orthopedic surgeons, the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics (RIAO) offers state-of-the-art treatment in a variety of orthopedic services for both children and adults. Our medical team of more than 250 professionals performs approximately 4,300 orthopedic procedures and conducts more than 36,000 office visits annually. With access to operating rooms and highly specialized teams that exclusively practice orthopedics, the RIAO offers the advantages of a “hospital within a hospital.” Patients receive the full continuum of care including initial consultations, surgical and non-surgical services, hospital stay, as well as, inpatient and outpatient physical therapy. RIAO physicians have earned a global reputation for their limb lengthening expertise as well as their innovative techniques for joint preservation and replacement.  The Save-A-Limb Fund was established in 2001 and supports the fight to save limbs from amputation and provides hip and knee replacements to patients in need both domestically and abroad. The Fund also works to advance patient care through the research and the work of the physicians and staff of the RIAO.

All proceeds from Race for Our Kids benefit the Samuelson Children's Hospital, BCAC and the RIAO. In 2018, the proceeds benefited patient emergency financial assistance, the NICU Journey Beads program, patient transportation, meal and parking vouchers for parents when their children are in the hospital for lengthy stays, and so much more.

Join us for the Post-Event Celebration and Festival after the event.
