Save A Limb Fund Fest 2017

Team Kendall - Perthes Awareness

Last summer, I was diagnosed with Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease. I was in a lot of pain and had to stop running, playing, and doing sports. Thankfully, we met Dr. Standard who performed surgeries on me to fix my leg. The recovery after my surgeries was very hard for me, but I can now run and play and do whatever I want again. I am very lucky that we only live 45 minutes from Dr. Standard. Most of his patients live in different states or countries. I want to raise money so that the Save-A-Limb Fund can help kids from far away come and have their surgeries so they can run and play again, too.

I will be participating in the 12th annual Save-A-Limb Fund Fest on Saturday, October 14, and have committed to raise money for the Save-A-Limb Fund, a patient assistance fund of the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics (RIAO) at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. The Save-A-Limb Fund was established in 2001 to provide financial support to children and adults, both domestically and abroad, who have complex limb and joint disorders. The RIAO uses the money in the Fund for patients to save their limbs, preserve their joints and enhance the quality of their lives, as well as to advance patient care through the research and work of the physicians and staff.

Please join me to walk or hike, or make a contribution to support my efforts. This is a fun event for an amazing cause!
